Job Description
- Provision, manage and support Windows 2012-2016 servers hosting mission-critical .NET applications.
- Provision, manage and support CentOS (Linux) servers hosting critical WordPress & PHP applications.
- Provide day to day system administration support like code migration on Windows and Linux platforms to developers.
- Work with cloud service providers to provide seamless system availability and administration support.
- Must be good at troubleshooting and performance tuning Windows and Linux system related issues.
- Automation of day-to-day tasks using scripting languages and automation tools.
- Research various tools and applications, conduct POC and implement, as necessary.
- Audit system and ensure the systems are secure or implement appropriate security measures in case needed.
- Work with cloud vendors to provision system infrastructure and support them for developers.
- Maintain and support code repository | version control systems.
- Provision databases and provide support.
- Work with teammates and client independently to understand requirements and provide optimal system-related solutions.
- Should be open to learn and explore new technologies related to the administration area.
- Provide on-call support during US hours in case of severity 1 production issues.
- Perform system maintenance activities on servers (system patching/reboot) during alternate weekends.
